Whelkie Wynds Circular Walk
This short circular walk from Cherry Tree Cottage takes you out towards Whelkie Wynds, one of the area’s lesser-known features, before looping you gently back through the village.
Part of the Woodland Trust’s Woods on Your Doorstep scheme, Whelkie Wynds was created to mark the Millennium. It sits in open countryside on the eastern edge of Flamborough, offering a quiet and slightly unexpected pocket of woodland within the wider farmland landscape.
It’s an easy, unhurried walk — ideal for a slow morning or a late afternoon wander.
